TG - Latin Dance

TG Santos

I’m TG Santos — but in class, you can just call me Tony. I’ve been social dancing since I was 12, training for over a decade, teaching for 6 years, and performing for much longer (shoutout to all those quinceañeras). I was born in Sanford, North Carolina, raised in a proud Mexican family, and I’ve traveled to over 10 countries to experience and share dance — from Mexico to the Dominican Republic, Spain, Italy, Dubai, and beyond.

My teaching style is built on culture, creativity, connection, and confidence. I believe dance isn’t about memorizing patterns — it’s about feeling free, expressing yourself, and enjoying the moment. Strong basics and strong fundamentals are all you need to dance with 90% of the world — and to do it with joy. Whether it’s a family party, work event, or social night out, I want my students to feel comfortable, expressive, and confident.

Beyond dance, I’m a student at San Diego State University studying psychology. My long-term goal is to become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant — helping performers, athletes, and artists get their head in the game. That mindset work is a big part of my private lessons, too, because the biggest thing holding dancers back isn’t lack of skill — it’s self-doubt. I challenge negative thinking, encourage self-kindness, and create a supportive community where people can grow together.

For me, Latin dance is culture. It’s community. It’s connection. And every class is an invitation to celebrate that.
